Welcome to Executive Training ~ Team Quest
Training & Development Certificate Program
Student & Non-Profit Community Groups Corporate Professional Development Trainer Skills Program

Programs are designed to fit the client's training needs and address the group process and bonding sides of teambuilding. These programs enable participants to work as a team outside of their normal day to day work duties therefore challenging them to find solutions, delegate responsibilities and support one another. Activities are designed to be within the capability of anyone in reasonably good health. Although they can be physically demanding at times, they are not military style initiatives and do not require unusual endurance. Activities are accessible to include participants of all physical abilities. Several options are available to groups which utilize both indoor and outdoor classrooms. Participants must complete a Medical Release form to attend.

HALF-DAY program of initiatives and low elements

FULL-DAY program of initiatives and low elements with a high element option

TWO-DAY workshop focusing on specific goals

The low challenge course centers on teambuilding activities that bring out participants’ personality styles and leadership qualities. The low elements are those that are built near the ground. The safety system used in low elements is group spotting. Participants are taught spotting techniques to enable them to give emotional and physical support to teammates. The low elements are group-based, problem-solving activities designed to promote effective group interaction. These activities provide team members and leaders with opportunities to explore and experiment with strategies for powerful teamwork. Discussion following each activity focuses on the interaction between participants. Depending on desired learning outcomes, the half-day events are designed to highlight a wide range of team challenges, from detailed analytical planning to improvisation on the fly. This program can be held at our course or we can bring our equipment to your site.

The low and high challenge course includes the initiatives and low elements in addition to the option of the high elements. The program starts out with activities which provide group members opportunities to begin to feel comfortable with each other in this setting. The next step is the de-inhibitizer activities where participants are able to take some risks as well as make improvements in commitment and allow themselves to laugh. Communication and problem solving initiatives are then used to help in testing and strengthening the ability of the group to communicate, follow instructions and solve mentally difficult problems. For those groups needing more physical challenges, the high elements are an additional option. The high elements, 25-30 feet high, focus on individual achievement and development with appropriate group support from teammates. Participants are not compared to each other. What might be easy for one person might be difficult for the next. Completing an element on the course can enhance the self-confidence of participants who have exceeded their pre-conceived limits. The high elements course opens doors for sharing real-life challenges and identifies ways to support each other. Ropes attached to the participants are used as the safety system for all high elements. Although perceived risk may be high, these activities are safe and led by certified instructors.

The two-day workshop is an in-depth program looking at several aspects of the relationships between employees. Through hands-on, experiential learning, teammates analyze how they operate. The two-day workshop includes a classroom training portion to discuss the Experiential Learning Cycle and to reinforce effective work environments. Focus of the program can include: trust, problem solving, communication skills, organizational change, leadership development, conflict resolution, customer service, and teambuilding. Participants are taken through a sequence of initiatives designed for their group. The goal is to give participants the ability to discuss issues about work in a non-threatening environment. The program also utilizes the low elements of the challenge course as a tool to reinforce these behaviors. An additional option allows for part of the workshop to be spent on the high elements course. The two-day workshop includes a pre-program needs assessment and a post-program summary report including our facilitators’ comments and suggestions for the next steps with your group.
